Cubes Sculpture from Overwrought

Hi,
Over the weekend I was awarded the “Best Abstract Sculpture” and recieved a “Highly Commended” For My Sculpture “Cubes” at the Derinya Art and Craft Exhibition. The Sculpture (Pictured Above) Is about 1200mm high and made of rusty Mild steel. I’m quite excited, but unfortunately the piece didn’t sell.
It and lots of my other work are on my sculpture page on my website Sculpture Page

Seascape Metal wall art mural.

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

After a great deal of work in design and fabrication, I have finally completed a new metal seascape.

This Mural is made from Clear powdercoated Mild steel and is 10 metre’s long by 3 metre’s high. This is the largest piece I have done to date. It was delivered this week and Mark, for whom I made it , put it up straight away and was kind enough to send me some phot’s of it in situ.Metal wall art mural of a Seacape.

This seascape includes crabs, seahorses, fish (of course), starfish, and above ground, butterflies, dragonflies and a Kingfischer. I’m very pleased with how it came together and I would love to hear your feedback. You can see more of my wall art here

Steel Eagle Sculture

Steel Eagle Sculture

Welcome to Overwrought metalwork and Design.
I run a company called Overwrought metalwork and design. This is my first blog entry. This blog is intended to provide information about the business, and introduce new products and projects. If there is specific information you would like from me relating to the business, then please feel free to leave a comment and I will try to answer all questions. I guess the first question to answer is What does this business do?

I produce a range of metalwork including gates, signs, security doors, garden art, sculpture and furniture. I’m always expanding my range and trying to push myself in both design and skill level.
I use mostly contemporary metalworking techniques such as welding and grinding, but I do have a gas forge which I use for some of the jobs which can only be done the old fashion way. Enough for now. Next time I’ll talk about some of the projects I’ve undertaken.
